Whether you’re interested in buying Fisker stock or you want to sell it, there are many factors that you should consider before making the decision. Some of the factors that you should consider include the dividend yield and the company’s Earnings per share (EPS) forecasts.
Fisker Inc.
Founded by designer Henrik Fisker and his wife, Geeta Gupta-Fisker, Fisker Inc is an electric vehicle (EV) startup. It is based in Los Angeles, California, and is focused on developing luxury plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
Fisker has taken initial orders for a high-end SUV, called the Ocean. The SUV will be produced by Magna-Steyr in Graz, Austria. The company plans to unveil the vehicle at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Fisker has also announced that it will begin taking reservations for the PEAR compact urban EV. The vehicle will retail for less than competitors, according to Fisker. The company plans to sell the PEAR for around US$30,000.
In January, Fisker announced that it has received over 62,000 orders for its Ocean SUV. It plans to start building the SUV in November. The SUV will be priced at around $37,500. The vehicle will be produced in 42,400 units by the end of 2023. The company expects the price to be lower than rivals Rivian R1S and Tesla Model X.
Fisker’s Ocean
During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas last month, Fisker unveiled its new electric SUV, the Ocean. It is designed to be a modern luxury vehicle. The concept vehicle features an interior volume similar to a BMW 5-Series, but with a much smaller price tag.
The base model is a single motor with front-wheel drive, delivering 275 horsepower. It comes with a standard-range battery that can deliver 250 miles. There’s also an all-wheel drive version with a dual motor setup, producing 350 miles per charge.
The Fisker Ocean also includes wireless phone charging. There’s a cargo cover, which folds in the middle to reveal a small underfloor area. The floor can also be secured upright, which keeps cargo from rolling around.
Other features include a 17.1-inch infotainment screen that rotates from landscape to portrait orientation. There’s a power rear liftgate and digital gauge cluster. The steering wheel is also touch-sensitive.
The Fisker Ocean comes with a 16-speaker 500-watt sound system. There’s also a remote vehicle locator, Amazon Alexa voice control, and blindspot monitoring.
Earnings per share (EPS) forecasts
EPS, or earnings per share, is a profitability metric used to calculate the value of a company. It is calculated by dividing a company’s profit by the number of outstanding shares. There are several different types of EPS.
For example, a basic EPS calculation is simply the company’s net income divided by the number of common shares that were outstanding at the end of the period. This is the most commonly reported EPS measurement. However, a more accurate measurement is the weighted average number of common shares issued during the period. This metric is based on the company’s balance sheet.
The EPS is most useful when compared with similar companies in the same industry. For example, a company with 500 stores would have a higher EPS than a company with just one store. On the other hand, a company with two factories that make cell phone screens would generate a lower EPS than a company with no factories.
Fisker’s dividend and yield
Founded in 1971, Fisker (FSR) has been paying dividends for years. Its primary model is an all-electric vehicle that’s designed to travel up to 350 miles per charge. While the production schedule is still on track, the stock has fallen hard today, after an analyst downgrade.
As a manufacturer of electric vehicles, Fisker is involved in sales, service, vehicle development, and customer experience. The company’s business model is called the “Fisker Flexible Platform Agnostic Design,” which allows a vehicle to be adapted to any EV platform. This allows the company to focus on sales and development, while also offering self-insurance mechanisms for its customers. In addition, the company intends to offer third-party insurance.
Currently, the company operates in three segments: Conservative Premium, White Space, and Value. Its primary model is the Fisker Ocean, which has a range between 250 and 350 miles. It also has a value segment that leases, markets, and sells its electric vehicles. Lastly, it has a White Space segment that provides vehicle-based data, including real-time and historical performance information.
