Preparation

The DEL ED qualification is necessary to become a teacher in India. Offered by state governments across different states, it lasts two years and includes four semesters. Intended to equip primary teachers for the teaching profession by teaching various learning styles while using technology as pedagogy tools, Jamia Milia University, DY Patil University, and Integral University all provide this course.

To qualify for the DEL ED course, candidates must possess a secondary school qualification with at least 50% marks in aggregate from an approved board, in addition to having valid photo identification. Furthermore, those applying must be under 35 and belong to an underrepresented minority group.

Candidates interested in enrolling can do so online or directly at colleges. Many private colleges provide this course, although some of them may charge higher tuition fees. Private institutions typically conduct admission tests, whereas state governments sometimes utilize merit lists; nonetheless, eligibility criteria remain the same in either scenario.

Assessment

To pass the d el ed exam, students must pass all theory papers as well as practical assessments with both internal and external examiners; at least 40% of each examiner’s marks must be achieved to pass. A final applicable spot will be calculated using all marks scored by both examiners.

Every year, trainees must deliver one mono-grade lesson and one multi-grade lesson on Odia/Urdu, Science, or Hindi subjects; two projects and assignments must also be submitted. Self-instruction printed materials covering theory components for all 11 papers (five foundation papers and six content-based pedagogy papers) developed and provided by the Board are also essential components.
