Whether you’re a PlayStation veteran or brand new to PlayStation, you’ll be able to find some of the best PS Vita games for your system right here. We’ve selected some of the best games available for the system, and we’re sure you’ll find something you love!
Earlier this year, Atlus announced they would bring the classic PlayStation Vita game, Persona 4 Golden, to PCs. It was the first mainline Persona game ported to a non-PlayStation platform. While the port isn’t complete, it’s a significant step forward for the series.
While it’s not perfect, the port offers a few enhancements, including a new file system and quick save/suspend features. It also includes updated graphics and improved performance. However, it doesn’t have all the content initially contained in the PS Vita version.
Unlike the previous games in the Batman: Arkham series, Origins is set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum. The story follows Batman’s journey toward becoming the Dark Knight. The game is based on DC Comics’ iconic superhero and is available for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is a 2.5D action-adventure game based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It was published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and is available for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
This 2.5D game was developed by Armature Studio, which is responsible for the Metal Gear Solid HD series and the recent Injustice: Gods Among Us. It attempts to replicate the console game experience in the portable setting.
Developed by Vanillaware, Dragon Crown combines the thrill of fast-paced action with RPG elements. The game is set in the Kingdom of Hydeland. Players take on the role of six adventurers as they search for a legendary relic. The relic is known as the Dragon Crown and must be retrieved from the hands of the wrong people.
While there is a lot to like about the game, the gameplay may not be for everyone. The leveling system is a bit simplistic, and the missions can be repetitive.
Developed by Omega-Force, Toukiden: Kiwami is a sequel to the third-person monster-hunting game Toukiden: The Age of Demons. The new release includes new characters, new demons, and new weapons.
The game will also feature a new multiplayer mode that allows up to four players to fight alongside the player’s character. Players can also use this mode to create unique armor sets, skills, and weapons. Moreover, over 100 different armor sets are available in the game.
The game also features over two hundred character models, all based on Japanese historical figures. Hidari, the character designer behind Monster Hunter: World, created these characters’ designs.
Initially released in 2013 on PlayStation 3, Guacamelee! is a 2D action-platformer. The game is based on Mexican folklore and culture and features the classic Metroidvania style.
The game takes place in a split world between the Living and the Dead. Throughout the game, the player takes control of Juan Aguacate, who travels between the two worlds to rescue his girlfriend, Lupita.
The game features an innovative control system. Juan can jump and stomp enemies, and he can also throw them around. It’s also possible to transform into a chicken, thanks to the Morph Ball power-up.
Originally released as a DS title, the Virtue’s Last Reward PS Vita game is an enhanced port. Initially released in Japan, Chunsoft developed it. Spike later acquired the developer. They released the game internationally.
The game revolves around nine characters trapped in a warehouse. They have to work together to escape. To do so, they must collect points. These points are tracked through a watch-like device on their wrist. However, failing to play the game correctly will result in death.
The game features 24 different endings. This allows for further character interactions. For instance, one of the endings asks whether you are willing to betray someone to survive. You can choose one of the two options, which will dramatically change the game’s progression.
Developed by Ubisoft, Rayman Origins is the fourth main installment in the Rayman series. It features 60 vibrant levels of 2D platforming, over 100 playable characters,, and an incredible amount of collectibles.
Rayman Origins is a full-length platformer that uses the multi-touch capabilities of the PS Vita. Players can use their touch screen for popping balloons and collecting relics. There are also shooter stages and hidden stages to complete.
The gameplay is as fun and challenging as it looks. As you advance, you’ll unlock new abilities for Rayman. You can even learn earlier-level moves, which will help you later in the game.
