Shawn Murphy is in his sixth year with the Dragons and works with the defensive backs. Prior to joining the coaching staff at Tiffin, he coached at Tiffin Columbian High School from 2005-2009 and led the team to four league titles and three playoff appearances. He has a degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. He resides in Tiffin with his wife, Karen, and daughters, Evelyn and Annabelle.
Special Events
There are a number of special events on the Tiffin City school calendar that students and their families may want to participate in. These include a number of holiday-themed activities that are sure to delight children and adults alike. In addition, the calendar also includes special events that are designed to teach students about various cultures and traditions around the world.
The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library will be hosting an “Escape Room” for teens on Monday, November 20, at 3:30 PM in the Frost Kalnow Room. Parents, caregivers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and anyone who invests in the lives of children are invited to attend this discussion group.

Located in Tiffin, Ohio, Tiffin City Schools consists of six locations/buildings that house students from Pre-K to twelfth grade. These include Lincoln, which serves pre-K through kindergarten; Washington, which houses preschool and first grade; Krout, which houses second through fifth grade; Noble, which houses sixth through eighth grade; and Columbian, which hosts ninth through twelfth grade.
This year, Tiffin City Schools has added two make-up days to the school calendar. These days will be held on February 18 and April 23.
